This week, Showbread frontman Josh Dies posted a photo on instagram (image below) with the caption "For years, I've maintained a sort of resentment toward the fad-interest and genre confusion hopelessly tethered to Showbread's first album. Even so, I've always loved the record. 10 years later, I'm excited to play those songs again with the guys who helped create them. Going to be a wild night."
For one night only on August 9th, 2014 in Portland, Oregon, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Showbread's debut album, Showbread's No Sir, Nihilism is Not Practical will be performed live by the 2004 album lineup.
Details:
909 Southwest 11th Avenue Portland, OR 97205
Doors: 7pm. Show: 8pm.
Attendees will have access to exclusive merch and a special announcement from the band.
About the venue, the band writes, "We have taken care to select a venue that will accommodate a crowd yet maintain the intimacy and intensity of the album and live period into which it was born. As such, Floor tickets will have the "pit" experience, and balcony seats will have a bird's eye, "widescreen" view, while remaining close to the action."
